Ashley Stewart with husband, Harper and daughters pictured above.
Being an educator is a calling, and I accepted that call at a very young age. I wanted nothing more than to be a teacher from the time I was six years old. It is an incredible privilege to now be serving the San Saba Independent School District as Assistant Superintendent. In fifteen years of education, I have loved each place that I have worked, but I am very excited about the opportunity to become part of this wonderful community and school. Being a strong public school advocate and having been a teacher, principal, and ESC consultant in the fifteen years that I have been in education, I’m looking forward to learning even more in this new capacity.
My husband and two daughters are joining me in this new adventure. My husband is also an educator and will be serving as the Llano Junior High Principal this next school year. He has been a head basketball coach, math teacher, and principal previously and never tires from trying to make a difference in the lives of his teachers and students.
Our daughters are the highlights of our lives. Grace is 4 years old with a beautiful smile, curly hair, and a bubbly personality. Faith is 16 months old with deep blue eyes, soft wispy hair, and a warm, sweet disposition. They are as different as night and day but still little girls to the core---pink, pink, pink!!!
Thank you for taking time to read this, and I hope you will visit with me anytime. I firmly believe in the adage that it takes a village to raise a child. Our students deserve the very best we can give them both at home and at school. Working together as a staff of professional educators and a community of concerned family members; we can make an enormous impact on the futures of San Saba children! Have a blessed school year!
All students have the right, the opportunity and the responsibility to learn; we as professional education leaders have the right, the opportunity and the responsibility to teach. Within our role, we ensure that all students have appropriate access to college as a vital component of future citizenship for our community, state and nation.
