Mrs. Martin's and Mrs. Cooper's Busy Bees
We encourage you to take an active role in your child's education by showing interest and academic support. The very most important thing you can do for your child is to read to them. Please take time to look through your child's weekly folders, discuss and ask questions about what they are learning, and see that their folders and report cards are returned to school promptly the following day after receiving them.
Your child's success in school is linked to your interest, encouragement, and support through reviewing and reinforcing what is taught at school. Listen to your child as they tell you their ABC's and letter sounds. Help them recognize all 26 letters and the sight words we send home. Count by ones, fives, and tens to 100 with your child. Our goal is to have them ready to read by the end of the year. To reach this goal, we need your help and reinforcement from home. Portfolios (samples of children's work) are kept for each child.
