The mission of the San Saba Independent School District is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop essential academic skills for a lifetime of learning and to prepare students to be responsible, contributing citizens in a diverse and changing world. The District is committed to maintaining high expectations of students as well as staff by demonstrating professional behavior and by supporting all students and school programs. “Attitude is a Choice”

We promote the emotional, academic, and social growth of all of our students. We are committed to doing what is right!

SSES will become a high performing school with all students making academic progress each year.

Teacher Appreciation-

While thanking teachers should not be a once-a-year event, we have an opportunity with Teacher Appreciation Week 2021, May 3-7, to share our gratitude. This year, more than ever, we owe them our thanks for their unwavering dedication and commitment to their students and their families. We’d like to recognize the ways teachers went above and beyond during a year that was riddled with change and uncertainty.

School Lunch Hero-

Mrs. Woods and the cafeteria staff prepare nutritious meals daily for our students.  This is the time that in addition to a clean plate and smile, please thank our lunch heroes for all they do.

PreK and Kindergarten Round up May 24, 9-11 & 12-2

If you have students that will join the SSES family in grades PreK-3, PreK-4, or Kindergarten you are invited to early registration. This is only for students not currently enrolled in SSES. A separate flyer will follow.

Who’s Got Talent?  May 25, 2021

I have said it time and time again. We have some of the most talented children in the world. Students primarily in second, third, and fourth grades, are invited to audition for our end-of-year talent show. Students in younger grades may perform if part of the group with second, third, and fourth grade. We will have one show in Armadillo Arena from 9-11. The students will walk to Armadillo Arena, weather permitting. If the weather does not permit, we will host the event here for students only.  Please do not worry, we will share Zoom information for family members to view.

End of Year Awards- May 27, 9-11

This year we will host the End-of-Year Ceremony at Rogan Field on May 27, 9-11. Parents, you are welcome to join us! All students must report to the campus first. We will arrive via school bus to begin the ceremony at 9 am. This ceremony is for all grade levels, Pre K3- Fourth.  At the end of the ceremony, you will be allowed to sign your student out and take pictures around the field. Parents and students are asked to wear flat shoes. This is Rogan Field and we do not want to leave it damaged and the High School Armadillos will turn around and use the field the next day.  If the weather does not permit the outdoor event, we will move to Armadillo Arena (8:30-10) if available. If not available, we will host the end-of-year awards here for students only.
