Pathways in Technology Early College High School 

 

SSISD Mission

The mission of the San Saba Independent School District is to provide an educational environment that will enable all students to develop essential academic skills for a lifetime of learning and to prepare students to be responsible, contributing citizens in a diverse and changing world. The District is committed to maintaining high expectations of students as well as staff by demonstrating professional behavior and by supporting all students and school programs.

 

P-TECH Program Vision

The San Saba Pathways in Technology Early College High School will equip students with skills to meet industry demands and is aligned with the workforce needs of the Central Texas area. SSISD educates future industry professionals to impact the wellbeing of all individuals through professional practice, leadership, and global service.

  

Industry Pathway Goals:

Professional Practice

  • Each rotation will consist of a full cohort of students, with the goal in year 2 to start at no more than 20
  • 100% of cohort participants will complete their program selection successfully
  • Pass rate on certification exams will be 85% on the first try

 

Leadership

  • A minimum of 2 industry skill certificate attainment
  • Social/Emotional maturity via small group and one on one meetings per quarter
  • Employability skill mastery via quality documentation of soft skill development
  • Post-program enrollment with a IHE partner program beyond San Saba High School


Global Service

  • Community service via clinical work and work based learning experiences
  • Multiple work-based learning (WBL) opportunities will be available for each year of the pathway
  • A collaborative learning environment and experience with industry partners
  • Students will participate in an industry-based project that ties to industry certification
